NEWS RED APPLES GENERATING HIGHER RATINGS FOR ESPN SHOW CITY SLAM
When CitySlam came our way, it was a dunk contest event that for two straight years never generated any buzz before, during, or after the show. For the 2008 event, Red Apples developed a marketing campaign that included a customized social network for the show so the fans and the contestants could interact, YouTube contests to give "amateur filmmakers and video editors a chance to have their work shown on ESPN, and a Facebook/Myspace Widgets that helped each contestant gain support from their fans as well as serve as a poll and countdown to the show's airing.
This year's event has easily become the most anticipated in the history of the show and we are expecting the viewers to be atleast twice as much as last years due to our campaign.
After three days, the site had over 500 registered members and 10K page views - so how do you like them apples?
RED APPLES CLIENT GETS HIS MUSIC HEARD BY OVER 30 MILLLION TV VIEWERS
SIN AKA SIZZERB is one of the top selling hip hop artists in other countries but isn't a house hold name in America yet. Red Apples has been developing cutting edge customized social networks and mobile content to compliment his music and push his latest singles. One of those singles was heard and liked by the creators of the Fox show So You Think You Can Dance. Sin's single Boom was the opening song for this season's finale. The top 20 dancers danced to it and over 30 million people at home heard it - so how do you like them apples?
RED APPLES IS TRYING TO KEEP YOUR HOUSTON HOME SAFE
A home security company website is basically here's what we do, this is how much it costs and this is the phone number to call. When we met with houston alarm provider Calvary Alarm, they wanted to re brand the company and stand out from the cold online ad type security websites.
So we talked about making the website not only visually more pleasing via friendly colors and photography but a resource for people that need a home security system.. Our plan was to create and display engaging content such as interactive videos, a frequently updated news database with advice from experts, interactive maps to find crime and/or other security issues in our neighborhoods and even implementing interactive animated games such as To Catch A Thief.
By developing frequent rich content for humans (not browsers), Calvary Alarm has been able to save thousands of dollars a year by canceling their adwords account and enjoying the calls that are coming in for being at the top of Google's organic search results for every major keyword phrase we have targeted - so how do you like them apples?
RED APPLES AND ABERDEEN ARE ANTI-GAMLING
Houston consulting and recruiting firm Aberdeen Technology recently approached us to develop a new image for their company.
Phase 1 was the launch of a new website that would stress the danger of "rolling the dice" with IT consultants considering the constant evolution of the industry. We communicated that message with a 3D animation of a burning transformer constantly repeating it's transformation into dice alongside an image of Aberdeen Technology owner Peter Freeborn and his staff holding the device.
Phase 2 will be a marketing campaign utilizing specific web 2.0 networks and a series of print collateral.
Red Apples Solutions Organizes Search for Pro Basketball Player
When YouTube told Red Apples Solutions' client Team Flight Brothers that they won the Rudy Gay YouTube/NBA Slam Dunk Contest and that a member (Brandon Werm Lacue) was going to be flown out to New Orleans for All-Star weekend, they only had one request - it's a secret until after Rudy Gay shows off the TFB dunks in the Slam Dunk Contest.
TFB wanted to share the news but couldn't so Red Apples came up with a way to indirectly spread the word without saying it and cause a little controversy and gain some exposure at the same time.
Red Apples came up with a campaign called "Where is Werm". It started off with a YouTube video showing photos of Werm and a voice asking if anybody has seen him in the past 24 hours. If they did they should go to the Where is Werm blogspot.
Hours later, a 2nd video (video shown above) was posted. This one showed the last footage TFB had of Werm (in a hotel room) and also served as a trailer for a future TFB DVD.
Hours until the event, a 3rd video was released showing a phone that received a text message from Werm saying "I'm OK, watch TNT tonight".
Right after the event, a 4th and final video was released recapping the campaign and showing the national televised footage of Werm at the event.
Some people thought we went overboard just to hint a secret but each of the four videos picked up YouTube honors and led to over 25K video views and thousands of more website visits. So how do you like them apples?
